Class A intrusion detection systems: provide simple protection against burglary attempts both when armed and disarmed; the detectors have a medium response sensitivity.
Class B intrusion detection systems: provide medium protection against burglary attempts both when armed and disarmed; the detectors have medium response sensitivity.
Class C intrusion detection systems: provide increased protection against burglary attempts both when armed and disarmed; the detectors have increased sensitivity. They provide extensive monitoring of the security functions.
Any magnet can be installed in our magnetic switches. However, the following restrictions must be observed:
- For VdS-certified switches, one of the magnets approved for the certification must always be installed; otherwise the certification becomes invalid.
- We provide no guarantee of correct functioning.
- We cannot make any statements regarding response characteristics, installation distances, etc.
- The installer is responsible for ensuring correct functioning – however, we always recommend using the appropriate, approved magnet.
You can extend the cable on site. To do so, you have to solder each wire individually and protect them with heat shrink tubing. Finally, you have to pull another heat shrink tube over the entire patch area.
Piece means the installation part is for a switch OR a magnet.
Set means the installation part is for a switch AND a magnet.
The larger number always indicates the outer diameter, while the smaller number is the inner diameter.
Examples include the M 12 80, M 13 34, M 11 90_15 and M 11 91_15 door loops, as they as made of stainless steel. The brass versions of the protective tubes are suitable for outdoor use. Note, however, that the door loop may require additional protection depending on the location (e.g. in salty air or at the airport).
No!
These door loops must be installed in a U-shape, since the end pieces are not suitable for longitudinal installation. Doing so could destroy the entire door loop.
It is essential for proper functioning that the cable be able to move freely within the spring, so that it can be pulled into the spring and then slide out again. The thicker the profiles and the more unfavourable the pivot point or door hinge, the longer the cable loop you need to leave! In the most extreme case (opening angle of 180º), the cable loop may need to be up to 120 mm in length to ensure proper function in the spring.
The letters are NOT analogous to the VdS classes. They mean: A = normally open contact; B = normally closed contact; C = change-over contact
Normally closed contacts are closed in their idle state (magnet not engaged). Magnet engages, contact opens = normally closed contact.
Normally open contacts are open in their idle state (magnet not engaged). Magnet engages, contact closes = normally open contact.
Change-over contact = depending on how it is connected, it can function as a normally open contact or a normally closed contact.
According to VdS guidelines, all wires in VdS-approved magnetic contacts must always have the same colour to make them more difficult to manipulate by a potential intruder.
The following information is required when placing an order: The part number starting with 130 = order number (130XXXX) – see product catalogue
If not available:
For switches: cable length, colour if applicable, magnet type, installation part if applicable
For detachable door loops: cable length
For installation parts: number of bags (always 5 pieces in a PE bag)
Our products are only available to specialised dealers. If you are interested in our products, please contact your local electrical installer or alarm system manufacturer.
To create a new customer account for you, we need a copy of your current extract from the commercial register, your business registration or your craftsman’s card. For companies from other EU countries we require a valid VAT number.
Recess mount magnetic contacts have a cylindrical shape and are mainly installed in windows. A corresponding installation part (e.g. M 11 40) is used to turn a recess mount magnetic contact into a surface mount magnetic contact. Surface mount magnetic contacts often have a square shape and are more likely to be used for doors.
Magnetic switches with enclosure protection IP 68 are protected against both dust and constant immersion, meaning they are suitable for outdoor use under certain conditions. That said, all of our products have been developed for use inside buildings. It is therefore the customer’s responsibility to check the extent to which ambient conditions (e.g. sunlight) affect the housings.
